The Hower Hour

The apostle Paul wrote in Romans 12, "I urge you therefore by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual act of worship. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may demonstrate what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."  What you do for a living is not your purpose. It only provides an opportunity for you to demonstrate your purpose. So many Christians and Christian churches have lost their distinctive calling as God's witness to a lost and dying world. We are not called to conformity.

Lots of teachers speculate about why bad things happen to good people, but most of the books and articles are someone's best-guess or personal opinion.  The Bible offers several reasons God allows His children to suffer difficulty and tragedy.  You deserve to know the truth.  

Although possibly well-intentioned, the WOKE CULTURE is killing just about everything it touches, including many Christian Congregations.  What does it mean to be "woke," and why has the concept become so toxic?  

Our nation was founded on the idea of truth that needed no explanation.  It was self-evident.  Is that still a thing?
